Lol, I think they are holding a chair for you at the 'Capitol Gang' forum on
one of the major news networks.

Whether they see it or not, it's the reality of the group. Postings here
shouldn't be reserved exclusively for anything that isn't going to upset
anyone in any way, as if we as a group are absolute angels in every aspect
of our lives. We have differences of opinion and thankfully have an open
venue in which to express those differences. Personally, I wouldn't mind at
all if I'm quoted in any publication regarding my opposition to things that
I've expressed a dislike for, such as the philosophies of TC.com and things
like the Nude LC cache. If, as a result, I'm painted as a goody goody Boy
Scout, so be it. The reality is, that I am a Scout Leader (oh, the irony),
and I have strong beliefs that will at some point conflict with someone else
's world view, but I'm not going to let that get to me. Of course, I would
never say that I'm perfect, as I know I'm far from it. I will say that I
don't hesitate to voice my opinion, whether it's one held by the majority,
or otherwise.

well, that reporter (and other reporters) might be looking at all these
posts and seeing the bickering and bantering going on too. We are probably
giving them good fuel for the fire. It could be that some of this stuff
might be better served in direct emails between the two opposing parties
rather than in everyones inbox.

No, I would never use sarcasm when speaking of the reporting done by
some of the local papers. I don't know this guy from another reporter, so I
have no idea what angle he'd be approaching this from. There have been some
VERY unfavorable articles published courtesy of the Republic (due to
one-sided interviewing and selecting someone for interview that despises all
things Geocaching), but my impression is that he wants to write something
good about it. I look forward to reading the article when it publishes.

Is that sarcasm I read??? Yeah I don't mind being the focal on this
one..I'd love for people to be a bit more knowledgeable about geocaching and
also know that we're not out there to destroy the world...

He did say that he'd spoken to a couple of the parks..he mentioned South
Mtn (near to me..hehe..) and they said that they had no problem with caches
being placed there. He also mentioned that he was aware of a big hubbub with
the City of S'dale about caching, etc. (Before my time).

So I'll email the owner of the cache and put them in contact with the
reporter..I don't want to cheat and find out where the dinner is at...lol. I
like to play the game as well...anywho...make sure ya'll dress up
nice...we're gonna be in writing. LOL
