[Az-Geocaching] Poll

My two cents worth.......... I see these different sites as being about
choices. Some people drive Fords, some Chevy's, some Dodges' etc. It is
an individual choice of what they want to drive... and.. It is a personal
choice with regards to what each individual wants or doesnt want in regards
to geocaching sites. It doesnt really matter what every other person on
this board wants or doesnt want.... it is still up to the individuals here
to decide for themselves which cache they choose to go after or not. It
seems from the banter here that there are some who are pushing one site and
others who might want to trounce on another site......... It is the
responsibility of the person choosing the sites for their family or kids to
ensure that they are comfortable with the content of the cache. They can
select and choose as they see fit for their lifestyle. So no amount of
banter is going to change that. No site will just go away and I doubt
that any site is going to change its content because of anything that has
been said here. It seems to me the horse is dead........ and we are still
whipping it.

That being said........ in closing......... I am personally not enthused
with nude caches......TV3 carried a piece in the recent past about
geocaching.... its a good thing they didnt know or dwell on that aspect of
it on TV. So, I dont choose to look for those types of caches. I also
have strong feelings about protecting family and kids from cache content
that is opposed to what I wish for them. So, I dont look at those caches
either...... But..... I dont rule in or out any site...... I just choose
as wisely as I can.... Just because you drive down Baseline Rd and go to
Arizona Mills mall doesnt mean you have to cross the road and go into
Christys Cabaret........ Its all about choices....... individual
choices......... I wonder how much time has been spent writing and reading
on this topic (mine included) which could have been better spent on creating
the perfect cache somewhere.

I've spelled out my case already, and don't feel the need to continue
repeating myself with regards to the 'bigger picture'.

If you must read it yet again in yet another post...

My impression of the site itself is that it spawned out of resentment,
and is a rebellion against 'The Man' as it were for not allowing Geocaching
the way they want it to be. By allowing certain things like the Nude LC, my
perception is that the site admins are acting like nothing more than
teenagers defying the rules of their parents to see how far they can go
before they've gone too far.

In some ways, I agree with Guy that it could become something pretty cool,
but right now how things are operating turns me off far more than it entices
me.
