What about 'em? They're the Hot Wheels version of an H2.

Anthem? Isnt that where all the people live who own H2 Hummers? You know, the Hummer's with all the cute chrome trim, spinner wheels and.. oh yea.. dont have an ounce of dirt (or even dust for that matter) on them because they have never ever left a paved road? ...........

    Thought so.

    Or wait... maybe that's Scottsdale....

I'm in Sedona and it aint much different up here!

I wanna live in Camp Verde or Cornville! :)

Oh I totally agree however I was merelyl commenting on the amt of traffic congestion that it's causing for us geocachers..(hehe). It's a nightmare you can guarantee an hour to get from Bell to N of Anthem. I can't imagine what the trucking companies are having to deal with. My husband and I sat on I-17 S of Flag in January 2004 (Robert was like 6 weeks old?) due to a slide that occurred..it was snowing and we sat there for 4 hours. That was a nightmare! But down here on this side it's even worse.

It'd be interesting to see into the future to see what the freeway situation is in 20 years...to bad the only way out of the valley is I-17..unless you drive up Shea to Ftn Hills...and deal with those people. Which in my opinion are just and older group of Anthem peeps. No finger pointing going on here either just my opinion. And I see the Queen Creek mess as a "next generation" if you will..just give a year or so.

    >Now, to actually address the comment about 20 years, here' s what I would believe to be why. You have the mass expansion going on in both the east/west valley areas, which require freeways to ease street congestion and to enable business corridors to develop along those arterial routes. Anthem is an up-scale master planned community with amenities that allow it to be nearly self sufficient in the sense that everything but the high-paying jobs required to live there are provided within a reasonably short distance. It was no secret that I-17 was THE way in and out of the area. My perception is that the highway construction currently under way is intended for the masses as a whole, rather than one group of people that feel privileged beyond their right and want it sooner.

The guy said 20 years. 20 freaking years to add an extra lane. Hence the reason I'm going to CA instead of Flagstaff..well that and there's beaches in CA.

I highly doubt it will take long to bridge that gap...and to think it was forecasted to happen 20 years out, but is already close in 2.
