Wow. Interesting story. APS just officially closed the Childs Power Plant on 
Fossil Creek. Now, Fossil Creek will be a natural and untamed creek once 
again that flows year round. I remember reading about the possibility of 
this a while back, kinda cool to see it happen. I kinda hope they will 
preserve a piece of the power plant and flume as AZ history. Would have been 
interesting to have been there when they opened the dam and released the 
water. Anyways, here is the story:
