I got this email recently from the ARS racing series. They are having some
kind of a geocaching event at Squaw Peak Mountain Park area. It says there
will be 25 pre hidden caches. I wonder if these are already existing caches
or if they are placing some just for the event? Anyways, this is all I know
below. Read on if interested. I might consider giving it a try if they are
utilizing existing caches, since there are alot of new ones in that area I
havent found yet.

Subject : Upcoming Adventure Racing & GeoCaching events near Phoenix.

Just a few more days to register for the Full Moon Over Phoenix nighttime
Adventure Race this Saturday, April 23rd. This will be a new challenge to
see how well you can navigate at night. This race will include kayaking,
mountain biking, & trekking. The start will be located at SB Cove on
Bartlett Lake. We hope to see you Saturday.

Also, if you’ve ever considered GeoCaching, we’ve got a fun GeoCaching
competition coming up in Dreamy Draw Park near Piestewa Peak on Saturday May
7th. You’ll use your GPS unit to help you find 25 pre-hidden “Cache’s”
throughout the area in 3 hours.

Look for a Beginners Adventure Racing series this summer at Saguaro Lake.
Each race will be between 10-20K long and include 2 disciplines: kayak/bike,
bike/trek, trek/tube. Their will also be mystery events for you to pass
through. The map reading will be relatively simple with no compass
necessary.

Check out www.SierraAdventureSports.com for more info on all of these
events.

Thanks
