Kinda sucks how that works out sometimes. My 1000th find wasn't exactly =
what I wanted it to be, but given the winter climate developing in the =
mountains around here, I wasn't going to go cache-free until April to =
grab FTF as my 1000th on a 4.5/4.5. In fact, I wouldn't cache in that =
area without a beacon right now. I was trying for a virtual at Pompey's =
Pillar as my 1000th, but at that hour (almost midnight) it was far too =
dangerous and I didn't get any closer than .2 miles. 189 steps up a =
large stone rising out of the ground in complete darkness (no moon that =
night) was asking to make the front page of the local paper as a prime =
example of what NOT to do.
So, I'll make up for a lackluster caching performance on my 1000th =
hopefully later this month with a hike up to Mystic Lake for a FTF. =
Granite Peak, the largest peak in the state shadows this area at a =
massive 12,799 feet. Mystic is over a mile lower in elevation at 6,558 =
feet.

Ironically Scott's 1400th AZ cache find was at the same cache that was =
TEF's 700th find, he would not have been there except for coming to help =
us out, and at a cache that he is not very fond of...hummm?

Maybe it was the dog??? I haven't smelt wet dog before and =
that could well have been. Then maybe I didn't like looking at a cache =

sorta for the most part take back the words that were spoken of him, but =
I (TEF) had just spent the longest 6 hours caching of my life, One =
blowout at 65MPH then 1.25 mile walk to phone, loosing 1 game of =
basball, with broken bat found near phone to the finder of that bat, =
along with loosing the long hit contest as well, but I think Alex =
cheated as he broke our ball apart so the weight aspect of the ball =
affected my attempt, see we tied the first time, while waiting for RTW =
to come get us with a jack, then had to go get caches with him as he =
didn't want to waste a trip, not to mention that I finished braking the =
bat apart but Hurt my hand, left a blood blister, I tell ya what when a =
MLB player breaks a bat that is some seri! ous force, then forgo a =
Strawberry Rhubarb pie, so after all that this was the last cache for =
the night and yeah I had to stop by the apartment and pick up some money =
to repay RTW, so actually there was a real USD20 in this cache for a =
