In a way, geocaching is becoming more of community service! We have our =
CITO programs across the country; and now in the past few months geocache=
rs have helped by unfortunately discovering the bodies of someones loved =
ones. The incident at the "The Cliffs of Cache" in South Carolina where =
the body had been missing for twelve years; the recent deaths of a woman =
here, and the man near Las Vegas; these bodys may not have been discovere=
d as recent if it weren't for geocachers. Geocachers have become de fact=
o search teams.

That's right Brian, I forgot about your recent incident (I think it was j=
ust prior to Christmas, wasn't it?). There was yours, the incident Feb. =
28th at the "The Cliffs of Cache" (GCHD76), and now this incident. I had=
n't heard anything like this on the threads before you posted your unfort=
unate encounter. =20

Because geocaching takes us to so many out-of-the-way places - and as geo=
caching grows in the number of cachers, and the numbers of caches hidden =
- we are more apt to run into these types of strange and horrible experie=
nces.

I wonder, was I the FTF or the first to say something publicly? There wa=
s never anything about finding anything like this in the 'worst nightmare=
' thread in the gc.com forums until I posted my incident. Not exactly a =
title I'd be proud of holding though. :/

It looks like another cacher has come across a body. Cacher "crzycrzy" f=
ound the body while searching for "The Big "J" Cache #3" (GCFAB0) near La=
s Vegas. It appears that the cache has been confiscated by the LV Police=
 Dept
