If you have Verizon Wireless.... there is no need to pay for internet access
on your PDA.. you get it free! A 14.4 connection comes with your VW service.
All you need to do is find a cable that will match up to your cell phone and
PDA and then have a browser compatible to your PDA... and you have internet
access in the field. I have had it since this past summer (I used it in
Washington for the summer). You do however use your minutes. But, you dont
pay anything additionally for the service. They do offer a quicker
connection, but it is expensive (I think). I have two browsers... a text
only browser and a full HTML browser that shows web sites just as you would
see them on your desktop (with some wrapping or distortion). However, my
Palm M130 is fairly out of date and the processor isnt fast enough to
efficiently run the browser. The text only browser works great though and is
fast. Eudora Internet Suite for PDA's is the browser I refer to. The other
is called Xiino. There are a few others available on the freeware/shareware
market as well.
