I lived in Sitka Alaska for a bit, working for the Forest Service. One of my fondest memories was sitting on a log on the seashore one day, watching a family of merganser ducks. An eagle came out of the trees behind me and dove towards the ducklings. Mama reared up and flapped her wings, chasing the eagle away.

I would love to see eagles fishing for salmon. They're such a majestic bird,
and the opportunity to see some actually living their lives would be
amazing. It's one thing to see them nesting, but an entirely different
thing when they are in predatory mode. I'll be sure to take plenty of
fall/winter pictures.

Till a voice, as bad as Conscience, rang interminable changes
On one everlasting Whisper day and night repeated -- so:
"Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges --
"Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!"
