Is there anyway that the people that approve caches could not approve the=
se kind being placed in the wilderness? =20

Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Thoughts on Reading the Weekly Cache Notificatio=
n
It seems that while the rangers were out picking up the caches in the Sup=
erstitions this weekend, a new one was placed -- on Black Mesa, about fou=
r miles northwest of Weaver's Needle. In other words, right where it shou=
ldn't be, in designated wilderness. The person/team that placed it has be=
en registered for awhile, but only has a few finds. I've never seen the n=
ame before, and I assume they don't subscribe here, but I don't know that=
. I also don't know that this hider didn't ask for and obtain permission,=
but I think it's safe to say that's unlikely. =20
Now put a ranger's hat on and ask yourself how you feel about that cache.=
Surely the rangers neither know nor care who is affiliated with what. Th=
ey just know that caches are literally being placed faster than they can =
remove them. It's in all probability an unfortunate coincidence, but I'd =
bet money it reinforces in their minds that prohibition and confiscation =
are the right things to do.
