I will push this just a little further off topic, but I wanted to add this.

I serve on a commission down here in Tucson with a woman who owns a number 
of gas station/convince stores.  We have spoken at length about the gas 
business and I was shocked to find out that the station owner sees a profit 
of about 3 cents per gallon of gas pumped.  You have to pump a lot of gas 
to make a living at that.  That is why you see so many gas stations have 
the little food marts attached to them, that is where all the profit is.
