I had a little adventure of my own this morning at work. I left for break with one of the ladies I work with to help her, since her husband didn't want to replace the gas he used in her car. She was running pretty low, so I told her I would follow her to one of the stations near by that we were told my co-workers had gas. On the way we passed an Exxon that had a really long line. I thought I'd try my luck at a station further that the friend at work told us about. When we got there we found it dry. As we headed bacy to the Exxon, by the time we back to it, it was empty, and everyone had cleared out. We got near the intersection of Alma School and Warner, and I told her to park and I would scout around for her, since I had a half a tank. I drove up a ways and back with no luck. I came back to tell her to go back to work, and I would keep looking. As we got to the intersection of Alma School and Warner, a truck had just arrived at the Texaco and I managed to get the second slot with her in a close third in line. If necessary, I would have moved out of the way for her, but it turns out that the line moved so fast that we were both at pumps at the same time.

While we were waiting for the truck to finish... the attendant wouldn't release the pumps until the truck finished unloading... I called work and passed the word that there was gas at the station up the road.

I started pumping my gas around 3:15AM. After work, I drove by to see a really long line... this was at 5:15AM.

(And just in case you are wondering, I work at the breeding grounds for the Yellow Jeeps.)

And for a Tip Of The Day... from my grandfather who owned a gas distributorship.

Don't pump your gas at the fastest setting. Set the handle holder to the slowest setting. You'll 'fit' more gas in your tank.

Good luck
