I have noticed that acceptace of an item in the wild is mostly a matter
of time.
Broken down tractor on the side of the road, an eye sore.

Same broken down tractor on the side of the road 40 years later and
covered with rust (given that it's not all shot up) is suddenly a kodak
moment.

Seems to hold true with just about anything.  Builds that were
considered horrible when they were new and had people picketing hopeing
to stop them from being built later in live have people picketing to
keep them from being knocked down.

Anyway, I guess "antiqued" caches are probably a pretty good thing :)
