I have an old Garmin to which I can only upload routes and waypoints; no =
mapping capability. For planning I use a combination of an early version =
of Street Atlas and Maptech's Terrain Navigator. The latter has some fun =
features that Topo doesn't have. My recommendation is to drop by Map =
World and play with all of these products to see for yourself which =
suits your needs. None have all the features you would like in a =
product, but you will find some are better than others. AND, they all =
have warts!
