Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Wilderness Caches
It is not lawful to place anything in a Wilderness Area regardless of =
the agency which administers the wilderness area. This also includes =
those areas with Primitive Area status as in the Blue Primitive area on =
the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. For info on the boundaries of =
these areas, contact the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest and get a map =
from them. They will let you know the boundaries. The 1964 Wilderness =
Act precludes this placement of things in the wilderness areas. Also, =
for as long as I have been going to wilderness areas, it has always been =
the etiquette to take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but tracks.
