Hey all,

Thanks again for all the responses. I wanted to let you all know that I decided to not get either of the 2 units I asked about.

I instead opted for another etrex. It's a discontinued model, but still new in box. I shall soon be in posession of an etrex legend cx.

Its not a high sensitiviy receiver and the screen is smaller than the 60 series, but it has all the other features I was looking for. I figure it will be at least as good as my dying legend and have more features than the etrex h I won at the krispy kreme opening.

Thanks again all!

Howdy

I own a Magellan I was a tried and true Magellan user, when they started out they were the best. Due to company changes and bad manufacturing Magellan is not what is once was.. Garmin has been on the front line so to speak. The Bosina conflic and the Operation desert storm put Etrex on the must own list..Garmin now has a very good working relationship with Groundspeak and it's largest base of customers.... Ask any pilot what brand they use...

I have a Garmin that was given to me as I would not buy one, but if you were to spend the money yes...

The Triton is a decent unit but it is like a VW in a Ferrari world....

Thanks to all who've replied.

Ok, so I understand we are all on the same page that Garmin is the best and that in a perfect world, I should get a 60CSx or better. No one is really answering the question I asked though.

Anyone have any REAL actual experience with either of these 2 units?

If not, thats ok. I would just trust a review by an avid cacher over one I found on a website somewhere unsolicited.

Again, Thanks again to all who've responded.
