I would consider that perfect for a light-medium duty trail rig, and it probably looks d@mn good too.  After seeing it, I’m hooked on the Fabtech 8” coilover for my YJ, with Goodyear MT/Rs in the 37” flavor.  While I have the plan to do it, the money has to arrive in some fashion for me to implement said plan. 

 

If you don’t have disconnects for the front, BUY them.  Your entire body will thank you.

Thanks for the different point of view on the suction cup, Brian.

 

It’s an ’05, with the 4.0L six cylinder and an automatic transmission (my knees gave me a dirty look every time I even considered a stick), 4” lift and 33” tires.  A little more aggressive than I might have preferred, but we like it.  We’ll be taking it out for its first real test this weekend. 

 

It’s great to be back in a Jeep after giving up our old CJ5 many years ago.  I just hope the Mighty RAV is mad at us.  Now, to sell the wife’s Tacoma pickup.

RAM mounts are great, but pricey.  Then again, for something like this, quality comes with a price.  I’ve used the Garmin suction mounts for every GPS I’ve owned and they work pretty well.  In the heat of the Arizona sun, the suction can fail, and you need to clean the inside of the windshield to get a solid suction again due to the film that develops over time.  The funny thing is, when driving my pickup, the only time the suction would fail is on asphalt.  In my current Wrangler, I beat the crap out of the vehicle on the trails with the GPS mounted the entire time.  It hasn’t fallen off yet during a club excursion.

I recommend RAM Mounts. They have a huge selection and because it is modular, you can reuse the cradle, etc. if you want to mount your GPS to a bike for example.

The RAM-Mount suction cups are bomb-proof when properly attached. Of course they have lots of other mounting options as well!
