Ask away!  For starters, here is a rundown of models/years:

Wrangler

CJ-5  54 - 83

CJ-7  76 - 86

YJ     87 - 95  (square headlights)

TJ     96 – Present (round headlights)

Cherokee

XJ      84 – Present (boxy looking hard top)

ZJ (Grand Cherokee) 93 – 98

WJ (Grand Cherokee 99 – Present

There are others, but depending on your needs I would have to know what kind of Jeep you’re looking for before giving you any more information.  One thing is certain though.  You’ll most likely want at least some lift and a new tire/wheel package (BFG All-Terrain are perfect for the AZ desert and can live for 50K+ miles.

We don’t need the GPS, but we would be interested in info about Jeeps!  We are thinking of buying one and until we started looking at them recently we had no idea there were so many models to choose from!  Any advice to share?  We do light to moderate 4 wheeling—no boulder hopping but lots of creek beds and mountain back roads.  We are looking for something smaller than our F150 4x4 but still powerful.

Also, can anyone tell me what happened to the Deep Southwest site?

Anyone interested a slightly used 76CS. I need to unload this one so I can get a more Jeep friendly model.
