Oil company profits may
be “record breaking” , but they are not that great over the long
term. Where do profits go? No, not into oil exec pockets (that’s
before the profit). They go to investors in the form of dividends (if you have
a mutual fund, stocks, or 401K, that’s YOU), or back into the company to
fund future growth, infrastructure, or exploration. Oil no longer comes out of
the ground as a “gusher”. It must be found, then sucked out, really,
really hard.
If you REALLY hate oil companies, go oil
free. Good luck.
