Granted, this would eliminate much of the country being able to actively participate, but given that this is the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark journey, Magellan could have done a tie-in with events and activities surrounding the journey, and placed the caches along the trail itself. Oh well. Maybe they'll discover the northern mid-west and I'll have a chance.
