Not ripping on RTW or anything, but if he was wearing that hat, blending in would be the last choice of reality.  :)

This hat




distracts store owners, illegals, landowners, and the like.  I always wear it when I am chasing down caches close to houses or businesses.  No one has confronted me yet.  The one time I did not have it on a home owner accosted me (Conquistador in Sun City West).  It is also good when you see some one you need to pat down and check for weapons.
