Many months ago I was driving south on Usury Road and saw this guy on the corner of an intersection, selling ammo cans.
I stopped and bought about 5 30 cals ( the smaller ones ) for $4 a pop - they were in great shape.
I managed to find a card that he gave me and e-mailed him to see if he had any more left - I usually get my cans from Larada's but the last time that I was there ( a month or two ago ) ... Larada's supply was pretty skimpy.
So here was Chuck the ammo can guys response to my e-mail :
"Mr. Hansen,
As a matter of fact, I still have about 200. HOWEVER......about an hour ago, I sent a powerpoint of all my remaining inventory to the manager of Larada's who has expressed an interest in buying me out. If you still want some, let's get it done quick, as he says he would like to come to some arrangement sometime this next week. I live in queen creek and work in mesa. (Monday or Tuesday. I have Wednesday off.) If he and I can come to an equitable agreement, I won't be selling them any more. After I sell out, I'm DONE, and Larada's will double the price. Such is the retail business! Call me on my cell phone when you decide on what you need and how many.
..."
Anyway, I just got off the phone with Chuck and told him that I was interested in 10-15 ammo cans ( @ $4 a can ). He lives in Queen Creek and will be bringing them on Tuesday into Mesa where he works.
If anyone else is interested in cans I can add them to my order. He also has 50 cals for $5 if you are interested in the bigger ones.
Please let me know by tomorrow ( Sunday, Aug. 3rd ) 8:00 PM if you are interested.
