John,

I seem to remember an attempt at this a few years ago as well.  It takes more than a couple of folks to keep it going.  Your idea is good, it may fall on you for most or all of the work to make it happen.  It's hard to get folks to commit to an Event cache year after year.  I helped with one up here in Prescott but did have the desire to do it myself.  It's also hard to get more than a hand full of people to agree on a date for a get together, north or south.  I'm sure you will get other feed back as well.

Tried…and failed.  This was initiated in the Phoenix area not too long ago, and while many expressed interest, few ended up helping to carry the ball and run with it.  The concept was tabled and never brought up again.

Hey,

I was wondering if there is an interest in a statewide Geocaching group/organization.   I'm currently working on getting one setup.  We would have hopefully 2 annual events, one in the north and one in the south, that way it is fair for both ends of the state.  I'm currently working on the website.  I will be posting a link to it very soon, should be up by Saturday (fingers crossed).  Please let me know what your opinions are good or bad.  Thanks in advance.

Sorry if you get this twice.  Wasn't sure if it went through the first time.
