I guess I fit into this group. My premium membership renewed a month ago and I only just found this listserv :-) There was a period from June through August when I had other priorities, as I expect will happen every year. Maybe in a few months or years I'll hit 500. Caching is a great way to find cool spots I'd not know about when I visit new places. Also a great way to spend a few hours with the kids. Someday, I may even be in town when one of the local event caches pop up, and meet some fellow cachers!
