I find the waypoint.org site poorly organized with a lot of commercial waypoints (rental cars, hotels). The long lists per state and just one very long list for all of Canada makes it difficult to wade through. I would like a site that was set up like gc.com, where the 'hider' requires some proof that the 'finder' visited the site and the 'finder' can keep a record of the number of finds. All the virtual caches that I've found have been very scenic or historical and I've enjoyed every one of them. In that regard, there is an inherent desire not to follow the ‘same rules’, which if left unchecked could become a huge thorn in the side of all that cachers have worked to achieve in terms of public official happiness and a happy co-existence with as many groups/leaders as possible. Competition might be good for all, but I just hope it doesn’t become unscrupulous. Regardless of why or why not terracaching exists, one fact remains. It is filling, or trying to fill a void than has opened at geocaching.com. If GC hadn't cracked down on virtual caches the way they have, I probably wouldn't even have an account over in TC. I really hope that TC does fill that void of virtual caches which I really do enjoy finding. ____________________________________________________________ Az-Geocaching mailing list listserv@azgeocaching.com To edit your setting, subscribe or unsubscribe visit: http://listserv.azgeocaching.com/mailman/listinfo/az-geocaching Arizona's Geocaching Resource http://www.azgeocaching.com --------------------------------- Post your free ad now!
