Since he gave us very little information to work with, it could mean that they are building a separate server for collaborative efforts to build a better gc.com or something to that effect.  Time will tell.

Hmmm..all he refers to is getting info on changing the namespace. I could be wrong, but I take that to mean changes in the groundspeak namespace used in the gpx files, rather than providing greater access to the gc.com database.
