I have run into county sheriffs before.  He gave us his phone number and told us if we find anything like body, stolen
cars, illegals to get the coordinates and call him.  He carried a GPS with him.  Matter of fact that day we had found a
abandoned car, and gave him the coordinates, and he was happy with that.
