Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Groundhog DayI am pleased to announce that Scott Wood of the US Forest Service has graciously offered to provide an all-day training session expressly for Arizona Geocachers on Sunday, February 2, 2003. The training will enable us to become more sensitive to and aware of the presence of historical and archaeological sites in Arizona. The training will commence PROMPTLY at 9 AM at the Cave Creek Ranger Station, 40202 North Cave Creek Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85262 (approximately N 33° 51.015´ W 111° 50.005). Participants should bring note-taking equipment, lunch, water, and dress and gear appropriate for spending a fair portion of the day outdoors. In the unlikely event of bad weather, the training will be rescheduled. The training will conclude at approximately 4 PM. There is no charge.Enrollment will be limited to the first 18 people who sign up with me (Judi and I make 20), although I will maintain a waiting list. Please direct any questions to me, and if I don't have the answer I will forward them to Scott.Because it is limited enrollment, there will be no event cache.Steve
