I bought mine at REI. I paid a premium aat $600 but given that I get 10% back at the end of the year as a member, $540 is not a lot for someone why "has to have" the new gadgets. I think that has made my decision for me. Being able to upload found caches easily and simply add notes from a mouse click (or by modifying the .txt file) is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing. Off to TigerGPS to buy (unless you know of a better place). Garmin just release the 2.4 firmware update and it fixes so many problems that it is an amazing unit. I am in Blythe, CA, right now after finishing a excellent off-road caching day on the Bradshaw Trail. All I used was my 400t - no PDA loaded with Cachemate needed as you can load your GPX pocket queries right on the Colorado and read the cache page directly from the unit. Then at the end of the caching day, if you have been marking your caches as found, you just upload the geocache_visits.txt file from the Colorado to HYPERLINK "http://geocaching.com/" \ngeocaching.com and you have all your found caches listed, read to submit logs. See the link below from the Calgary board to see how found caches works with this unit : HYPERLINK "http://forums.calgarycachers.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2725&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=60" \nhttp://forums.calgarycachers.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2725&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=60 In my opinion, it's definitely THE unit to buy ... just make sure that you install the updates from Garmin. For me, the Colorado has made my PDA and Cachemate obsolete. = Richard -----Original Message----- From: HYPERLINK "mailto:az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com"az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com [mailto:HYPERLINK "mailto:az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com"az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com] On Behalf Of Chris Ruggiero Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 4:06 PM To: HYPERLINK "mailto:az-geocaching@listserv.azgeocaching.com"az-geocaching@listserv.azgeocaching.com Subject: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Az-Geocaching Digest, Vol 86, Issue 3 I played with the Colorado a little in Vegas, but I ended up buying a GPSMap 60CSx a few weeks ago, I like it a lot.
