I had the same thing happen to me last year. Went and found a cache and because I tracked it out rather than did it the way they wanted people to find it and indicated in my log how I found it. The log was deleted. I was able to get a responce and was told that they did not want the way that I found the cache in the log. I was told I could relog it but without the incidentals. I was soooo mad because I was very happy I was able to get the cache the way I did....... Bah humbug... Now it has been about a year since that happen and I just could care less.....I even put that cache as one of my favs............
