Yep, I knew I was missing something obvious. Darn. So, it's actually 7 rows of 11 for 77 plus the 5 rows of 10 for 50 more, making 127. by using 1 less in every other row, making triangles, you can put the rows closer together and get more rows. The height of an equilateral triangle 528 feet on a side is 457.26 feet, approx. Now, there may well be an even better packing method. Who can beat 127? That means the second row can be 457.26 feet from the first. Then alternate 10 and 9. It looks like you would end up with 6 rows of 10 and 5 of 9 for 125, but you actually have room for a bit over 11.5 rows, so you can forget the triangles and make the last three rows all 10, so you end up with 7 rows of 10 and 4 of 9 for 106. Of course, it's late, and I'm probably missing something obvious or important, in which case, I'm sure someone will let me know soon.. Also, did you know?- The maximum number of caches you can fit in a square mile is 100? Well, that is IF GC.com actually stuck to their .1 "ahem"..."guideline". __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
