LOL, I know. I'm just classifying most of the YBMs in one lumping, while making exceptions for those that actually use the features they paid for.you being one of them. It's like H2's. Rather than being used for their functionality (although I hear that pic of one being high-centered on DIRT is pretty funny), they project a 'status'. I'm thoroughly impressed when someone out there isn't afraid to get their SUV dirty in something besides a dust storm while parked in the driveway. :-) To knock even Jeep a little bit, it's the same way with the Grand Cherokee models. 90% of those who buy them rarely see a dirt road. The other 10% are at Moab. It shouldn't be in the SUV category though, IMHO. More like an AUV (asphalt utility vehicle). From this thread, it appears that at least one QX4 out there could qualify as an SUV though. =D Any QX4 would qualify, Brian. They all came stock with skid plates, hi/lo transfer case, and 12 inches of clearance. Just most of them never get used that way. Ours does. I wouldn't try rock-crawling in Moab with it, but it's taken on FR269 down to the Sheep Bridge, Table Mesa Road, and El Camino del Diablo, among others. It's a pity Nissan discontinued the model. But the fact is that for most QX4 owners, the only time they are ever "off-road" is when they're going through a carwash.
