Another website <http://www.pinzgauer.com/index.htm> says they get 15 
MPG on the highway. Max 62 MPH, though.

The same website suggests installing high-offset wheels to compensate 
for the tippy-factor, and to smooth out the suspension a bit. These 
things were designed to haul 10 combat -ready troops! Payload capacity 
is 1.1 ton!
