Im extremely shy Trisha, I would faint speaking in front of a crowd. And as a primarily urband micro geocacher, Im not sure I would be the proper one to speak to them. Im sorry. Trisha wrote:Hey PHOENIX! YoooHooooo~ ya guys awake down there or are ya all in siesta mode from the heat? I posted the note below a couple days ago....surely amongst all the variety of active cachers you have in the valley there must be someone who would enjoy attending and speaking at this OHV/Ham club. This might be a group that someone would like to join, too! Anyone?? It's just too far for Dan and I to go; we have spoken up here in Prescott. One (or both?) is/are an active Ham radio operator and my impression was that both were fairly new cachers. We received this request for someone from Phx/East Valley to come to their OHV club to give a presentation on geocaching, this sounds like a group that combines Offroading and Ham radio? Below is his request, is anyone interested? I can hook you guys up via email if you are. Request from James: Do you know anyone nearby (East Valley) that could do a presentation on Geocaching for my OHV club in September? Between a half hour and full hour can be used. If not someone around here, then someone who wouldn't mind traveling. Maybe the two of you would be interested, but unfortunately we don't have an expense fund for travel and accommodations. A little background: Mesa 4 Wheelers is the longest running 4 Wheel Drive club in the state and meets every third Friday evening at Brown and Brown Chevrolet in downtown Mesa. I understand we hold the OHV club record for highest count of Amateur Radio Operators in Arizona.
