WOW Now I heard the story differently BUFPUT= Beautiful unique ford pick up truck We will be known by the tracks we leave behind ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob Renner To: listserv@azgeocaching.com Sent: Wednesday, November 20, 2002 11:50 AM Subject: [Az-Geocaching] BUFPUT History Lesson Since I'm the one who orginated the term BUFPUT, I guess I'll explain it to the newcomers. About a year ago, someone asked how some of us were able to find caches before they were officially listed on the geocaching web site. It used to be that you could go call up the newest cache and then go to the top of your browser and increment the cache number to see the newer caches even before they were approved and listed (that feature has since been blocked). Several local cachers were using this feature to jump the gun and be the first to find the new caches. Two of these unnamed cachers had yellow Jeeps, and another had a Ford truck. I explained the method on the listserver and then mentioned that "All you have to do is look out for yellow Jeeps and Big Ugly Ford PickUp Trucks". The acronym stuck. And another welcome to Team DaSH. Bob Renner --- Team Tierra Buena wrote: > > I'm proud to say BUFPUT is finally home.
