I guess I've just been lazy - I use the Monster PowerCell in my digital camera (it has a rating of 1800 mAh and has been a good battery.

The only thing that I really notice that is different between the  
rechargeable and the alkalines is that the alkalines will run a little  
longer.  If I get 12 hours out of alkaline, I get 9 out of the rechargeable.
