When you are on busy interstates with varying ( and concurrent ) turnoffs, "200 ft" isn't enough. It's nice to know what lane ( road ) to turn off to in 200ft. Definitely the units that tell you what to turn off onto is important ... for feebs like me anyway. = Richard Hansen > -----Original Message----- > From: az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com [mailto:az- > geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com] On Behalf Of > moosemob@cox.net > Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2008 10:32 AM > To: listserv@azgeocaching.com > Cc: Guy Aldrich > Subject: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Need a recommendation for = in car = GPS > Navigation system > > I am tempted to get opne of those myself, but I think the upper series > would work better. > > The 200 series do not speak street names: "Turn right 200 feet" > The 700 series do speak street names" "Turn right on Elm Street 200 > feet" > I know how far 200 feet is, my sweetie would turn too early or too > late. > > ---- Guy Aldrich wrote: > > Here is my recommendation > :https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=13431 > > > > On Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 9:58 AM, ShadowAce > wrote: > > > Hay folks.. > > > > > > A co workers is asking for advice on in an car navigation system. > > > They do not play our game and have very little if any need of ever > > > taking it out of the car.. > > > > > > So I wondered if any of you might have some advice as it is a type > of > > > GPS system I have not really even looked into. > > > > > > Thanks in advance. > > > ____________________________________________________________ > > > Az-Geocaching mailing list listserv@azgeocaching.com > > > To edit your setting, subscribe or unsubscribe visit: > > > http://listserv.azgeocaching.com/mailman/listinfo/az-geocaching > > > > > > Arizona's Geocaching Resource > > > http://www.azgeocaching.com > > > > > ____________________________________________________________ > > Az-Geocaching mailing list listserv@azgeocaching.com > > To edit your setting, subscribe or unsubscribe visit: > > http://listserv.azgeocaching.com/mailman/listinfo/az-geocaching > > > > Arizona's Geocaching Resource > > http://www.azgeocaching.com > > ____________________________________________________________ > Az-Geocaching mailing list listserv@azgeocaching.com > To edit your setting, subscribe or unsubscribe visit: > http://listserv.azgeocaching.com/mailman/listinfo/az-geocaching > > Arizona's Geocaching Resource > http://www.azgeocaching.com
