I WILL write to gc.com to let them know my positive feelings about the
event. The way it is posted now (except for it NOT being on gc.com,
unfortunately) makes total and perfect sense to me.

If gc.com needs modifications, then I agree that a potluck is fine including
"bring your own grilling food." Further, perhaps call it a "voluntary
donation." There aren't too many people that would object to that. And I
don't believe that many people would balk at that...especially given the
quality of the event.
