> Hi all just wanted to let everyone know that Jeff got home from Iraq > safe and sound. Don't know either of you, but congratulations and thanks to you both! > We wanted to get away from this dang blasted heat and head up > north for a hike and some cooler temps. Any suggestions on a nice > hike with a 3 year old (can be carried or in a stroller). We hiked the mile to the Fisher Point Trail cache < http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=4d9c9d30-59d1-4970-a4 e0-f2970ad528e9 > this week. It's a very flat but lovely walk. Lots of wild flowers, several lizards along the way, and big pine trees. However, it's a six-mile hike to Fisher Point itself. To go there, you might want to drive to the parking area that's a half-mile from the point and hike/roll. The point is at the top of some granite cliffs that overlook a lovely little valley and miles and miles of forest. Fisher Point is at N35 09.112 W111 35.735; the parking area at N35 09.190 W111 35.752. Lockett Meadow is always beautiful, too. I see the cache there has been archived < http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC90CB >, it's a great place. We had no trouble getting to any of these places in the Mighty RAV, so your truck should drive in easily.
