I was speaking from a general perspective, not only related to geocaching. For exaple, I still prefer to use "outdated" modes like sending out hand-written thank you notes and greeting cards via (*GASP*) the Post Office.... but have had no complaints. Obviously, virtually NOTHING about geocaching would work post-EMP. I guess my point was.....technology is mostly a fine thing, but don't lose your ability to function without it. Paper map and compass, for example. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: AZcachemeister@getnet.com > To: listserv@azgeocaching.com > Subject: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Displaying waypoints on Delorme Street Atlas2006for PalmOS > Date: 22 Aug 2006 18:13:32 -0700 > > > Well, the paper cache printouts will be worthless since your > computer will be sh(o)t and the internet will be gone! > Hmmm, maybe we could log via regular mail, and new cache listings > would come out in a monthly magazine? > YA, RIGHT! > > -- > Sent from my Treo > > -----Original Message----- > From: Trisha Brasher > Date: 8/22/06 16:59 > To: listserv@azgeocaching.com > Subj: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Displaying waypoints on Delorme Street > Atlas2006for PalmOS > > Remember, data on paper, along with the availability and ability to > have and use paper, will not be destroyed by the soon-to-be-coming > huge EMP that will wipe out all electronics > (Ex: "Dark Angel" with Jessica Alba) > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Michael Dumroese" > > To: listserv@azgeocaching.com > > Subject: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Displaying waypoints on Delorme > > Street Atlas2006for PalmOS > > Date: Mon, 21 Aug 2006 22:47:23 -0700 > > > > > > Thanks Loran, I just followed your directions, and it worked. > > Just gonna have to toy with it a little to change the color the > > little diamonds show up in, but that for another time.
