Yup, for just Geocaching, cheaper is better. If something happens to it (and it will) you don't want the loss to be too great. OTOH, once you start using one, you will find other things you can do with it, and wish you had a better one. Refurb Palm IIIxe (good because it uses AAA batteries that can be changed-out in the field) from outpost.com...$70. RTW does not need a PDA since he uses the mighty 60cs which finds the cache, signs the log, rates his trade for fairness (what could compete with a RTW brochure?), folds his laundry and checks the air pressure and wear on his tires while cooking a four course gourmet meal .
