I too bought one of those, but used it for all of 5 minutes. It takes too long to cover it up, and won't allow me to attach to my bike mount or the windshield mount, so it's been sitting in my drawer ever since. When they came out, I was hoping for a case that wrapped similar to the eTrex case, but this one wasn't even close. That being said, I have a 60C case available, a pair of Jeep bumperettes (slightly damaged) and a damaged leaf spring. Getting sandwiched between a Chrysler and an Audi isn't fun, but the beast came through with only minor injuries. I can't say the same for the other vehicles though. :D Brian Team A.I. -----Original Message----- From: az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com [mailto:az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com] On Behalf Of Roping The Wind Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2005 3:07 PM To: listserv@azgeocaching.com Subject: RE: [Az-Geocaching] Garmin GPSMAP76 dropped from 1500' abovethegroundand surviv >From: "Brian Casteel" >Reply-To: listserv@azgeocaching.com >To: >Subject: RE: [Az-Geocaching] Garmin GPSMAP76 dropped from 1500' above >thegroundand survived! >Date: Thu, 4 Aug 2005 11:12:59 -0600 > >Hey Scott. I actually got one of those neoprene type sleeve/cover for it. Jake-TeamAI had one that he didnt want. So while at the Pizza Event cache back in the Spring... I gave him a few bucks for it. He didnt like this one as it was really tight and it is. But it fits really snug and protects the GPS well. So other than it being really tight to get the GPS in and out of... it works great to protect the unit. I've dropped the unit a couple of times now and it is well protected in the shock proof case. I thought about those screen protectors... but would rather protect the whole unit. I might get those screen protectors for my PDA though. Are you referin' to the ones that are advertised on Geocaching.com?
