Well, there are magazines, and then there are clips, and then there are stripper clips. Technically, it's a magazine if the spring and other parts needed to feed the ammunition are part of it, rather than part of the firearm. It's a stripper clip if it is used to load a firearm or firearm magazine but doesn't remain in the firearm during operation. It's a clip if the spring and other parts that do the feeding are part of the firearm, but the clip nevertheless stays in the firearm during operation (like an M1 Garand rifle, for example). Bill in Willcox -----Original Message----- If I bought a 9mm Glock, I would prefer to have all the MAGAZINES he had. I wouldn't need any CLIPS (unless I needed some for an SKS rifle). For those who don't know, a "Stripper Clip" is a device that holds the ammo together for the purpose of inserting the ammo into a rifle magazine. Here's a link to a site showing what a STRIPPER CLIP looks like: ____________________________________________________________ Az-Geocaching mailing list listserv@azgeocaching.com To edit your setting, subscribe or unsubscribe visit: http://listserv.azgeocaching.com/mailman/listinfo/az-geocaching Arizona's Geocaching Resource http://www.azgeocaching.com
