Hardtop? We don't need no steenkin' hardtops...soft top with hard half-doors and soft uppers for me. Although, something blew up in my heater this morning I get to figure out how. Thankfully, it was AFTER the sub-zero weather, and on a day when we're going to see probably 51 for the high. A quick scan on the scanner at Checker should hopefully tell me that an easy to replace relay or something just fried. At least the blower is working, and the engine heats up to normal operating temp pretty normally. Couple that with the large 3x3x3 t-crack that appeared over the weekend in my windshield. I think a rock hit it, and with the super-cold outside, combined with the heat coming from the vents by the windshield stressed the glass enough that expanded about 500% in one day. :( The crack hasn't yet made it to my line-of-sight, so hopefully I can nurse it through the winter. Oh, now don't give me that crap about 10 miles barefoot UPHILL (both ways) in 18' snow drifts with windchills that would make lava freeze.... ;p Brian Team A.I. On a side note, it was -22.6F at my house on Saturday morning. :) -----Original Message----- From: az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com [mailto:az-geocaching-bounces@listserv.azgeocaching.com] On Behalf Of Joe Brekke Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 6:39 PM To: listserv@azgeocaching.com Subject: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Enjoy the weekend!! What's wrong Brian? When I logged on to the newspaper site for my home town of Cut Bank, MT today, (It was 11:00 am there), it was only 27 below. Of course if ya throw in the wind that was blowing about 24 mph, that pushed it towards a minus 60. In the old days when I lived there it got to that without the wind chill. Be glad you are living there in this time, when it's not so cold...enjoy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Casteel" To: Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 1:08 PM Subject: RE: [Az-Geocaching] Enjoy the weekend!! Thanks for the plug. I will say in advance that I appreciate immensely each and every person who shows up tomorrow for the CITO event. It's a very needed thing, and the visibility of cachers on that stretch of highway cleaning it up is sure to be noticed. I look forward to seeing pictures of all of you out there, suffering in the incessant cold of...the mid-60s.
