Don't worry, it gets even more challenging keeping up with the munchkin - my two are both Juniors - one at the UofA and the other in High School. Wait 'til you have to drive them all over the place and go to all their games and performances and all - they'll get you back for dragging them out on those long caching expeditions in no time by then! :-) 16 months - that's just about old enough to let them motor up the trail and help find a cache instead of riding in a backpack.
