Um, well....I could give you a few pointers on planning the event...but I am still recovering from the 10th!! Just kidding. The first and most important thing to nail down is WHERE to have it, which is related to what kinds of activities you want and how big you expect it to be. I am too tired (it is late, and I was up at 0430 this morning for a Posse/search call-out, the missing lady in Sedona who was found, yea!) to go into much more detail right now. I will say that proper, prior planning helps the actual event basically run itself. And GET GOOD help, like I did with Petite Elite! :-) Trisha "Lightning" Prescott On Tue, 20 Jul 2004 10:52:27 -0700 (PDT), Debbie wrote: Thanks Bob for your comments.  I really appreciate it greatly.  I wish I had more time to actually do this as I REALLY love and get soo excited when I'm able to.  Hard to do with 2 little children though.  My goal is to atleast find one a week.  I'm sooo impressed with the different profiles on the sport.  I envy lots of you people   What does it actually take to plan an "event".  I'd love to do it, but don't feel that I'm experienced enough to do one.   DebbieRobert & Linda Smith wrote: Dear Debbie,I have been caching for 8 or 9 months now and this is the first Event Cache in the Prescott area I have been able to attend. There was an event just a few months before we started looking for this little things. I have seen events advertised on the home page of Geocaching, you might keep an eye on that spot. The question of how often they are done is best answered by "How often do you want to plan one?" I was not comfortable trying to plan a complete event cache but when Trisha suggested she wanted to have one my wife and I jumped at the chance to help. If you are a party planner I'll bet you will get the help to have a party (event) any and every time you want to set one up.Hope this helps and welcome to the wonderful world of Geocaching.Bob Smith, Team Petite Elite, Prescott, AZDebbie wrote:> I really wish I could have made it to the bbq.
