Don't apologize as though it's anyone else's listserv but one operated by azgeocaching.com, which has no more affiliation with Ken than it does to you or me. From what I gathered in his e-mail, it *did* sound as though he was laying down the law with regards to content of the listserv, but it isn't anyone's place to do so but Brian Cluff. However, I understand what he was getting at, which was that he feels content that could be construed as a personal attack he felt was inappropriate. To an extent, I agree. Most things should be kept out of the public eye, but debates on various subject matters (on-topic as defined by Brian) should be allowed as long as they stay within reason. Issues like the Primerica stuff should be brought public, in the event that other unsuspecting cachers might find themselves being called for this character reference/insurance policy deal. Until I learned SquishyGecko was also involved, I was just going to leave the matter private because I thought it was an isolated incident that I was going to handle by...not handling it at all. Do I think it may have become too personal? Possibly. But I fully understand his anger about the whole situation, especially since he endured the phone call and subsequent sales pitch. Keeping this in mind, I can't fault him for his anger. Each person responds to things in their own unique way, and SG (it's shorter) chose the way that was right for him. Both my wife and I were upset when we started getting numerous calls (I'm guessing in the ballpark of 10-12 calls between home/cell). We were even more so when it was learned there was a sales pitch attached to the intent. I am hoping that through this flurry of e-mails regarding the Primerica situation that all calls stop, and any other cachers who were part of this list are removed before being contacted by anyone for any type of reference or sale.
