The media down here in Tucson is reporting the closures of atleast 8 of the state parks. One of those will be Catalina State Park. The purpose of these closures is not fire danger, it is budget cuts. I just got off the phone with a very nice lady from the state parks department that said that the decision will be made very soon, but it is almost assured that the parks will be closed on July 8th. The parks that close will be closed "indefinitely" which she said means until they can find a way to fund them. If you want to see a list of the parks to be closed, the following link will take you to the story in the Arizona Daily Star. This link will probably only work today, but after that you can stilll read today's paper from following the links on the web-page. http://www.azstarnet.com/star/today/20613parks.html Looks like a few more Tucson area caches will soon become unaccessible. This is shaping up to be one boring summer. Scott Team My Blue Heaven www.myblueheaven.com/geocache
