Actually the only time I've used a not when I didn't find the cache was on the "Lookout Mountain" cache. We didn't even make it into the area of the cache (at least half a mile away) because of blocked roads and nightfall. I originally put it as a not found, but then after reading a few things on the Snaptek site, changed it to a note. What is the general consensus of when should a note be use in a case like that. I know there's a "article" on the Snaptek that addressed this but is what is mentioned in there what most people do. I'm not trying to be a follow the masses person, but I do think there should be some consistency to the whole thing. I know this isn't what you are refering to but I'd like to know if that's what most other people do. A cache should only be logged if it's completed. I found the first stage of Libby's "The Great Pumpkin" a while ago but haven't had a chance to complete it, and didn't think it was appropriate to post or log just the first part.
