I love my Sony MVC-CD1000 digital camera. It records directly to a 3.5" CD-R. Sony has come out with smaller and better CD-R digital cameras since I got mine. However, these are not the smallest cameras and aren't convenient to carry while hiking (especially mine). There's plenty of good and affordable digital cameras available now. If the primary purpose is to view the pictures on the TV or computer, any newer digital camera will do a great job. If the main purpose is for printing, then there's many other factors to consider. Either way - in my book - digital is the only way to go! Larry, the pictures you took turned out real nice. I tried to take some pictures of the captive to post to the web site, but they didn't turn out. I often take one of those disposable cameras with me to document our adventures. My logic has been that if I lose it or drop it, it isn't any big deal. The problem is that the pictures don't come out so great and developing film is expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations on good cameras for geocaching? I'd like something light and digital would be nice, but how does a digital camera hold up to geocaching? Happy New Year!
